1. How do I register?

You can Register Online and reserve your place in one of our great swimming programs today! We will only accept registrations of children that are at least four years of age or older. If your child is younger than four, please review the options available through our partner SG Poseidon Eppelheim .

2. How do I pay for lessons?

irect Bank-to-Bank payments will be available (like paying a German bill). For a 12 Euro fee we will accept all major Credit Cards and eChecks using PayPal. Payments must be received one week prior to the start of the first day of classes for that particular session. Lessons are currently 185 Euro per swimmer, including VAT, for a 10 Lesson session. VAT Forms will be accepted if they are received prior to payment being sent, and 2 weeks prior to the start of that particular session. Please let us know if you will be using a VAT Form when you register your swimmer(s) by writing it in the "comment" box before you submit the registration.

3. Can I request an instructor?

We do our best to accommodate requests, however, specific requests for instructors are not guaranteed. Currently, Jason Jordan is the only instructor available.

4. What level should I choose for my child?

Beginners: We encourage new families to call us with any questions. We can help you to assess your child's abilities over the phone or schedule a free level assessment with one of our talented instructors. Returning Swimmers: Enroll in the last level that was recommended to you by American Swim School. If you are concerned that this recommendation is not appropriate please contact us and we will help you to assess your child's ability and/or schedule a free level assessment with one of our talented instructors. Current Swimmers: One week prior to registration for the upcoming session, your current instructor will discuss your child's progress and provide you with a level recommendation for future enrollment.

5. What if my child won’t get into the water?

Our instructors know how to make classes fun for little ones and are experienced with hesitant swimmers. Your child can participate by sitting on the edge of the pool for the first lesson and gradually ease into the routine. If one is available, your child may try a different instructor or level also.

6. What happens if my child misses a lesson?

Missed lessons will not be refunded and there are no make-up lessons. If possible, please contact the school if your child is not able to attend a lesson. A credit will be issued for future lessons in the case of serious illness which results in two or more consecutive lessons being missed. A doctors note will be required before the credit is issued.

7. Are private lessons or small group lessons available?

Private lessons are often productive and the best choice for people who need 1 on 1 instruction. If you would like a private lesson, please contact us today to discuss available times. Small group lessons are also available. All groupmembers should be close in ability level to ensure that every child is challenged and at a comfortable level. Contact us today for group class availability.

8. Cancellations:

If for any reason you would like to cancel enrollment in a class, please contact American Swim School by telephone promptly to inform us of your decision. Cancellations made more than a week prior to the first class lesson will receive a full refund. If cancellation occurs during the class term, no refunds are able to be awarded. . American Swim School reserves the right to combine or cancel classes which have 1-2 students. A representative will contact you to discuss other options should the class be cancelled.
